mJetz Inc is a mobile web launcher company focused on providing mobile phone users with a dramatically improved user experience when accessing the mobile web.  The intuitive mJetz approach lets a user quickly navigate to and glance at favorite mobile web content, deep dive into specific results, or explore new information using powerful search and explore functions.  Alongside existing mobile web content are a number of mobile "Jetz" (widgets) for quick access to email, weather, IM, social nets, and wikipedia - and additional mobile apps from the mJetz developer community.  (Developers click here for information about the upcoming SDK release.)

Since mJetz entered open beta in August 2008, tens of thousands of users in 150 countries have downloaded the unique mJetz experience in one of dozens of regional / interest-group flavors to hundreds of phone types from free feature phones to Android.

Management Team:

CEO Mats Samuelsson has over 20 years experience in various marketing, business development and technology roles at companies such as Motorola and AT&T.  Since 2001 he has worked with a number of startups in the broadband and mobile services space.  He co-founded a Silicon Valley mobile portal startup in 2005 and joined mJetz in Fall 2007.

CTO Stan Lyness founded mJetz in 2002 determined to provide a better way to access web and other content from the mobile phone using his patented browsing technology.  Stan has over 20 years experience in upstream software development at a number of web startups and a few larger companies such as Phoenix Technologies, Rational Systems, and Dragon Systems.

GM Europe Thomas Lidforss has over 20 years experience in the mobile space working with Ericsson, Qualcomm, Cisco and a number of startups in the US and Europe.  He joined mJetz in Fall 2009 to manage and develop mJetz European markets and business relationships with European operators.
