Trouble downloading, installing, or operating mJetz?
Please check this list of frequently asked questions first.
If you can't find the answer or if you could use more help, describe
the problems you're having at our
SUPPORT FORM and we'll do our best to help!
My phone repeatedly asks me whether mJetz is allowed to access the internet
For many phones, you will be able to configure the mJetz application
to enable mJetz to access the internet always or to only ask once
each time you run mJetz.
But some operators, such as AT&T in the US, disable these options unless the
application is signed.
So if you aren't able to do this, please point your phone's browser at
mjetz.com/s
and follow the instructions to download the signed version of mJetz and replace
the unsigned version.
mJetz is unable to connect from my BlackBerry - it just says "Select/Help" forever.
Java programs on the BlackBerry need to be told how to connect to the BlackBerry
internet through an "Access Point" (APN), and often this information is not set
up when the BlackBerry is sold or deployed. See
this page
for information on setting up APN on your BlackBerry.
What's this about a Plus Version?
It's true! mJetz Plus with its advanced features is now available through partners.
Look for it now from Nokia's Ovi store or soon from Orange.
Can I install the mJetz java app via my PC?
Yes! Devices vary widely, but the process should be something like this: - Download
a JAD and JAR file pair from www.getjar.com, or download from us:
mJetzn-.jad and mJetzn-.jar from mjetz.com/n for a normal version, OR
mJetzn-.jad and mJetzn-.jar from mjetz.com/n0 for the signed version, if your phone repeatedly prompts you when using the normal version, OR
mJetzd-.jad and mJetzd-.jar from mjetz.com/d, for a MIDP1 version for older java phones.
- Save them to a folder on the PC and open that folder after download completes.
- If there is software on your PC to install programs to your phone, run it now, pointing it to the files you downloaded.
- Otherwise, transfer the files into the phone's memory, then disconnect the phone from the PC.
- Find the files with your phone's "Installer" or "File Manager" program and select "Install".
- Once the install completes, run mJetz from the Apps/Games folder on your phone and register to get started!
For the Plus Version, instructions at Ovi or your
preferred premium store will replace the first step above; remaining steps should be similar.
